Mid Ulster & Preds share the spoils

Mid Ulster entertained Predators in the league on 7 July at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena.  A game full of incident resulted in two players having to attend the hospital and Mid Ulster scoring both goals in the 1-1 draw.  The home team had taken the initiative with Lisa Richardson scoring her third goal in four games.  Tracy Elliott was involved in a nasty clash with one of Preds forwards and both players had to leave the field to receive hospital treatment.  Thankfully both players were walking wounded and after a few stitches they were able to rejoin thier colleagues after the game. With Debbie Rankin out injured prior to the game Jill Overend had to take over the gloves but she could do nothing about the Preds equaliser which took a nasty deflection of a Mid Ulster player.  This point will probably keep both teams in the Premier League for next season but the Mid Ulster girls will hope to improve for Monday 19 July when they play Predators again this time in the IFA Cup.
