Dundonald Day out

The club enjoyed a very successful day trip to Dundonald on Sunday 22 Jan.  Over 40 players, members and their families made the trip and an enjoyable day was had by all.  Ice skating, 10 pin bowling and the ever popular Indiana Land were the activities on offer and lets just say that a few people needed a snooze on the way home after all that excitement. Much to the relief of Ma and  Junkie injuries were kept to a minimum.  Brooke did suffer slight whiplash when Lisas effort at dancing on ice came to a sudden end or had she been down the big slide in the soft play area.  Jackie also suffered with a wee nick on the shin... she didnt think Shinguards would have been necessary on an ice rink.   No doubt there were a few other bruises and sore ankles from the boots but apart from that everyone was ok.
Ten pin bowling was next up with the Mums and tots showing the way and beating Simone in the process.  Even with Ruth Brown giving Simone a healthy lead she was still beaten by a 3 and 4 year old!!  She did manage to win something however a groovy key ring for knowing the answer to a quiz question.

There was some healthy compettion between the older girls with Adele using her experience at the bowling to edge out the competition. The day was rounded off in Indiana Land.  The lovely staff in the Ice Bowl were amazed at the size of some of our under 12s!!  Unfortunately the day had to come to an end but it was a tierd and happy bunch that boarded the bus full of slush puppies and chit chat.  Roll on the next one.
