Mid Ulster girls get Hearts racing!!

With Valentines day just over a number of Mid Ulster players and volunteers took part in some serious matters of the Heart.  As part of the Department of Health and Sport N.I  CPR and AED Training the Cascade training programme has seen volunteers from the sports of Rugby, Gaelic and Football being trained to deliver CPR and AED training which they then deliver to members of clubs in their particular sport.  Thanks to the forward thinking of the NIWFA, womens football managed to get a couple of trainee trainers onto the programme and Rachel Furlong from Moyola and Ma from Mid Ulster completed the training under the watchful eye of N.I Ambulance Service Paramedic Trainer Robert Murphy.  Wednesday night at Moyola saw the girls put their training into practice as participants from Moyola, Mid Ulster, Coagh Utd and Ballymena Allstars attended.  The trainers were observed in their first outing by Robert and the night was a great success.  Everyone in attendance was successful in their final evaluations so congratulations to all in attendance.  Thanks to Moyola football club for providing the facilities (thank goodness it was indoors eh Emma!)
