The Mid Ulster U 15s had a great result at home against Lisburn ladies on thursday 28 March.  For one of the few times this season practically all the squad were available and the girls even boasted 3 subs on the bench.  After captain Emma McFarland tripped over a blade of grass the girls never looked back.  Lisburn may have been missing a few players but it would have taken their full 11 at their best to stop the Mid Ulster girls.  Eden Lavery was bursting with energy and created a number of chances down the left wing so it was no surprise when she opened the scoring for the Mid Ulster girls after 13 minutes.  The Lisburn keeper was having a stormer and time after time she kept the Mid Ulster attack out.  Even when the keeper was beaten the crossbar came to the visitors rescue, unlucky for Jessica Stewart.  Lisburn did carry a threat but Alexandra Lavery, Emma McFarland, Erin Mullholland and Georgia Boyd kept things very tight and Jacqueline Burns had time to keep the crowd on the sideline in chat.  The Mid Ulster attack persisted with the attacks and Rachel Kelly was next on target.  Even though her first time shot was well saved she followed up well and gave the Lisburn keeper no chance second time round.  As the half drew to a close good work by Anna Donnelly drew another good save from the Lisburn keeper and this time Lyn Sommerville was on hand to pick up the loose ball and leave the home team 3-0 up going into the break. Lisburn reshuffled their line up after the break but they had no answer to Samantha Kelly in the Mid Ulster midfield.  Joined by Tiffany Lindsay the Mid Ulster girls were a strong unit.  Lyn Sommerville had found some more space out on the wing and her devastating pace saw her create a number of chances before she got her second of the night.  Pressue continued and subsitutes Tara Donaghy and Rachel Rodgers made telling contributions before Samantha Kelly wrapped up procedings with a well deserved goal to leave the final score Mid Ulster 5  Lisburn 0.
