Mid Ulster LFC held their annual  Dinner and Awards ceremony on Saturday 13 October 2012 in the Royal Hotel Cookstown.  A large crowd of players, parents and supporters enjoyed the evenings entertainment.  Special guest for the evening was the N.Ireland U17 Manager Alison Nicholl who praised the club for the turnout and the structure that was so obvious from the number of players, juniors, parents and supporters in attendance.  The club celebrated the most successful year in its history to date with a third place finish in the Premier league for the senior team.  The Junior team came 2nd in the Mid Ulster section of the U14 league and also won the Speers Cup.   Simone Magill had an exceptional season for both the club and for her country, representing N.Ireland at Senior level in the European qualifying campagin as well as captaining the U19 team.  Adele Gillespe had been on the brink of Senior selection only to suffer a cruciate injury and it was great to see her starting her road to recovery with an appearance on crutches at the dinner.    Hayley O'Donnell had been a regular fixture in the U19 International squad and she pleasantly surprised everyone when she came home from Newcastle (England) to join in the celebrations. Jacqueline Burns, Emma McFarland, and Samantha Kelly had been part of the U17 team that had achieved qualification for the European championships a first for a N.Ireland Ladies team.  Coach Noel Mitchell had been a pivotal part in the management team that had achieved this feat. Lyn Sommerville had played in the Clubs for Young People international tournament in Bangor and the club were able to boast 12 players on the county excellence squad for Tyrone and Fermanagh. So a great season on the pitch and Club chairperson Elaine Junk and the various coaches and players that spoke were keen to pay tribute to the club sponsors especially The Railway Bar Cookstown,  the supporters, the parents and the players involved.
